How it works
The whole process
- You describe your foundation problem on one short form.
- It arrives in our inbox with a reference number.
- We read it and pass it to one local foundation contractor, by hand, the same day. If we do not have someone covering your area yet, we email you and say so within one business day.
- That contractor calls you. You deal with them directly from there.
- We keep a copy for 7 days in case something goes wrong, then delete it.
Things we do not do
- We do not do repairs. Nobody here owns a pier driver. We are not a contractor and we do not employ tradespeople.
- We do not sell your details to several companies. One request goes to one contractor.
- We do not claim to have screened anyone. When we say a contractor is local and working in your area, that is all we are saying. We will not use words like pre-screened or approved that we cannot back up.
- We do not charge homeowners. Not a fee, not a deposit, not a membership.
Why one contractor and not five
Because the five-quote model is built for the marketplace, not for you. Your number gets resold, you spend a week saying no, and the contractors bid knowing they are one of five, which pushes them toward a fast close rather than a careful diagnosis.
You should still get a second quote. We just think you should choose who gives it, after you have an independent opinion on what is actually wrong.
What makes a request useful
The more specific you are, the better the contractor can prepare. Useful things to include: where the cracks are and how wide, how long you have noticed them, whether they are getting worse, whether the house is on a slab, crawl space or basement, and whether you have had drainage or plumbing work done.
