Where we cover
We pass requests to contractors working across the metro Atlanta area. That is these counties:
- Cobb County
- Fulton County
- DeKalb County
- Gwinnett County
- Cherokee County
- Paulding County
- Douglas County
- Clayton County
- Henry County
- Forsyth County
We deliberately do not publish a page for every city in the metro. We are not going to swap a place name into the same article sixteen times and call it local. Where a location genuinely changes the answer, we write the page properly. Marietta is one, because the city and the unincorporated county permit structural work separately.

Send the request anyway and say where you are. If we cannot help we will tell you within a day rather than sit on it, and we will not pass your details to anyone.
About the soil
These counties are on the Georgia Piedmont. We have read the USDA survey for Cobb County in detail and published what it records, including the shrink-swell ratings. Those numbers are here. We have not done the same county by county, so we are not going to claim your county reads the same way. You can look up any parcel yourself in the USDA Web Soil Survey.
